The Reubeuss prison where former Senegalese prime minister Idrissa Seck was taken is seen 23 July 2005, in Dakar. The ex-prime minister, who was sacked in April 2004, was initially detained by police over allegations of misusing state funds for the overspending of tens of millions of dollars on road work around his stronghold of Thies. His legal team say the investigation against him are being conducted on the basis of « fallacious proof » and say he has nothing to apologise for over the Thies roadworks.
